User Experience Designer

Salary: GBP30,000 - GBP38,000

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. Flexible working requests will be considered.

Are you a self-motivated and sharp minded individual with a passion in user experience design that can help us beat cancer sooner?

This is an exciting opportunity to work with colleagues across CRUK, you will be involved in the delivery of campaigns and initiatives that engage our audiences and provide the best digital experiences.

What will I be doing?

You'll be creating and helping others to create compelling, emotionally engaging experiences based on user needs - experiences that are useful, easy to use, and delightful to interact with. It's about enhancing the experience that people have while interacting with and working for Cancer Research UK and making sure they find value in what we are providing.

Make an impact every day by:

  • Continual development and improvement of a user-centric site, enabling both the user goals and business goals to be met.
  • Delivering best of breed UX and interaction designs.
  • Defining and deliver best practice and processes; creating superior user journeys and patterns; delivering desired outcomes to our users
  • Developing, design and coordinate web standards and guidelines including a pattern library
  • Contributing to the UX team staying at the forefront of UX best practice exploring new tools, theory and techniques.
  • Championing Cancer Research UK's Design Principles and the strategic aims of the Technology Directorate.
