Salary: £22,034-£35,456 plus a £2,500 Golden Hello payment and excellent benefits

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join Exeter College to teach the thriving subject of Economics A Level. Economics is taught within the Outstanding Faculty of Maths and Science and is currently undergoing a period of rapid growth. The faculty was awarded grade 1 in the Ofsted inspection in 2014 and has continued to grow its range of provision with improved Achievement and Value-Added ever since. We are primarily based in new purpose-built facilities in the Maths and Science Centre. The faculty delivers a range of maths and science courses at levels two and three including GCSEs, A levels, BTEC Applied Science, IB science and maths courses, Access to HE and Apprenticeships at levels 3 and 4. You will be joining an experienced, supportive Programme Leader for Economics with a passion for the subject and a strong commitment to sharing ideas and resources. You will also benefit from extensive support within the faculty including a mentor, Tutorial Lead and Advanced Teaching Practitioner.

As a Programme Leader you will work with the support of a Team Leader to carry out teaching and tutorial duties and will have the opportunity to take on responsibility for an aspect of Economics delivery. This role is currently anticipated to primarily deliver Economics content at level 3 for A level.

Experienced teachers or entrants to the profession are invited to apply; we will be seeking to appoint a teacher with the greatest ability, enthusiasm and commitment to excellence in the classroom. Ability to teach another curriculum area is welcome but not essential.

Part time applications will also be considered for this post.
