About The Business:

Brewster McBride: Search and Selection are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer based in the North West as they look to recruit a Managing Director. The role with lead all business operations with a firm focus on delivering sustained growth across all revenue channels.

The business have an established presence in the marketplace spanning the last 30 years, and they currently design, develop & manufacture some of the industry's leading products. The operation works with a broad range of commercial & domestic customers throughout the UK & Europe, as a result they are now looking to further develop the business into new areas through expansion & new technologies.

About The Role:

This role will have overall responsibility for the running of all day to day operations and work closely with the wider group. With current turnover sat at around GBP8m, the role will manage all business functions & teams. The Managing Director will both construct & deliver the strategic business plan focusing on growth, driving a culture of continuous improvement, through commercial and operational excellence in all areas.

You will establish, manage and monitor standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all aspects of the company's operations are aligned to the budgeted objectives of the business. Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Establishing a strategic vision for the business advising the Group MD & Board of Directors.
• Developing and maintaining a customer focused business culture.
• Full P&L responsibility, managing all financial investments & future acquisitions
• Working closely with the commercial team to drive the sales strategy and sales performance & identify new areas of the market to target.
• Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with major customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.

More About You:

To be successful in this role it is essential that you demonstrate significant experience of working within a manufacturing orientated business in a Senior Management or Board Level position. You will be a natural leader who has delivered operational and cultural change projects, and who demonstrates strong commercial acumen. The group is focussed on plans to invest & grow the business as part of the 5 year plan, so will need a person with significant change management experience.
