The Company:

A new opportunity has arisen within Procurement. Nigel Wright are working with a dynamic, not for profit organisation seeking to employ a Senior Procurement Category Manager to work within a small Procurement Team due to expansion.

The Role:

Your remit will include, focusing upon a specific business unit to support their procurement requirements:

  • Managing the end to end procurement process
  • Liaising with key internal/external stakeholders to understand procurement brief and specifications
  • Reviewing procurement strategy and making recommendations as to the most suitable procurement process required
  • New vendor sourcing
  • Providing advice and guidance to other internal stakeholders with regards to procurement process and best practice

The Person:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven track record in a similar role/environment - leading tenders and awarding contracts
  • Strong understanding of procurement portals and frameworks
  • Public sector procurement experience essential
  • Procurement experience from within Property Development/Maintenance beneficial although not essential
  • Confident communicator, excellent influencing and stakeholder management skills
  • Flexible, creative trouble shooter
  • Enthusiastic and ambitious to progress
