About Trafford Housing Trust

Trafford Housing Trust (THT) is an independent Housing Association (HA) providing around 9,000 quality, affordable, homes within the Trafford area of Manchester. We are a “profit-for-purpose” organisation, striving for a society transformed, free from poverty, inequality and injustice. As well as being a social landlord we run community centres, deliver care services to people in their homes through our TrustCare business, provide employment opportunities through our social enterprise, Cleanstart and our subsidiary business, Laurus Homes, builds and sells homes.

People are at the very heart of what we do and delivering excellent service is important to us. We believe that by having meaningful engagement, listening to our customers and understanding what really matters to them, will help us continually improve and develop the services we deliver and the homes we provide and maintain.

In April 2019 we announced that we will be joining the L&Q Group within the coming months, in an exciting deal that will see us build 20,000 new homes across the NW. This represents ambitious growth and a huge vote of confidence in THT’s team and track record.  Over the next 3-4 years we will work with L&Q to ramp up the organisation’s capacity and align our ways of working in key areas.
