Job Description

As a Strategy Lead in the Defence Strategy team you will be reporting to the Director, Strategic Marketing. In this role you will be part of a team of strategy leads who work on Defence strategies, conducting research and analysis in support of strategic initiatives. The ability to conduct both qualitative and quantitative analysis is important for this role; strong communication skills are also required to turn your analysis into compelling stories which will influence strategic decisions.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research into the Defence industry internationally, including customers, competitors and new entrants.
  • Develop models and undertake appropriate levels of analysis in support of Defence's strategies.
  • Lead or support specific strategy tasks and projects.
  • Develop conclusions and compelling messages to guide strategic decision-making.
  • Develop executive level quality presentations and papers to support decision making.
  • Support development of Future Programmes opportunities with strategic analysis.
  • Contribute to the effective development of the Strategy and Business Development function across the Rolls-Royce group by working with teams in other parts of plc to harmonise and improve our processes, methods and capability.


Requirements:
  • Degree qualified.
  • Professional experience of market or business analysis, and strategy development.
  • Professional qualification in Strategy will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated interest in Defence will be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills including financial modelling.
  • Track record of dealing with complex and ambiguous issues.
