Are you a proactive and junior academic publishing candidate looking for a new challenge and a step-up? A growing open access publisher of books and journals is seeking an Editorial Account Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will deliver a high quality service throughout the journal and book workflow, from the last stages of acquisition to post-publication review. This is a fantastic opportunity and we would love to hear from you! Please note this is a permanent role based in London.

Editorial Account Manager Key duties:

  • Assist in the planning of both technical and policy development for the in-house and partner press
  • Provide editorial support to press journals and book projects
  • Work closely with external Press Managers, journal editors, authors and site users
  • Deliver a high quality service on all publication platforms
  • Ensuring highest quality and a streamlined flow of articles and books through peer review process
  • Promote published content and develop editorial policy

Editorial Account Manager Experience / skills required:

  • Experience of journal and/or book publication, ideally in a digital editorial environment
  • Tech and online savvy with a keen eye for detail and high standards
  • Previous knowledge of open access publishing is essential
  • Excellent communication skills with experience liaising with authors and academic editors is required
  • Confident and proactive attitude with the ability to hit deadlines and manage own workload
  • Proven experience of developing publishing products
