What you'll be doing

Line managing three direct reports and overseeing all the Workwise services.  You’ll support our aim to grow and enhance the services for local people to access employment and training opportunities.

Working closely with the Director of Health, Care and Support and the Commercial and Business Development Manager, you’ll support bid writing and investigate funding opportunities, as well as promote the existing services and form new partnerships.

You’ll report on outcomes and work with local authorities and Colleges to adhere to section 106 employability outcomes on Curo development sites, as well as managing the delivery of the Apprenticeship programme and supporting the business to expand this programme across the group.

More about you

You’ll be passionate about customers getting a great outcome.  To do this you will need to have a good knowledge of work programs and understand the barriers and issues people face when trying to access work and training opportunities.

You’ll have an understanding of how Apprenticeships work and if you know how the levy can best be utilized, this would be a huge benefit.

You’ll have experience of managing a service and an understanding of how to manage contracts with commissioners.  You’ll also have budgeting and report writing skills, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate with people at a senior level.
 
At the same time you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

When and where you'll be doing it 

You will be able to work flexibly, 37 hours per week, based on our customers’ needs.  You will be responsible for organizing your own workload and setting your diary appointments.

You’ll be based in our Head Office at The Maltings and will need to be able to travel to different locations.
