Academy Manager - Care

Full-time | Permanent | £33,018 - £37,680 per annum

As one of the country’s largest providers of quality education and training, our team of over 600 talented staff support over 12,000 students each year and each plays a part in making City College Plymouth a nationally recognised learning environment.

The Faculty of Business, Hospitality, Care and Lifestyle is seeking a qualified, motivated and professional person to lead and manage a team of staff delivering Care programmes across the range of disciplines. There are currently two Programme areas; Health & Social Care, and Childcare, delivered within an FE environment, full time, apprenticeship, schools and full cost.

The post holder will be part of the Faculty Leadership Team and will also be the key partnership link with key partners and stakeholders.

You will bring with you appropriate industrial and/or professional experience; you will ensure that all programmes are delivered and managed to a high standard. You will be responsible for the day to day management of these programmes as well as the on-going quality assurance and faculty development.

You will work closely with the Faculty Director to meet the strategic aims of the College, through the development of new programmes, increasing recruitment, supporting research and ensuring compliance with FE policy. Additionally, you will be required to respond to student feedback, organise bespoke CPD sessions to develop teaching through training and coaching, as well as developing personalised action plans to encourage staff to become excellent teaching practitioners and improve the student experience.
