Bromley House Library, an independent library established in 1816, is seeking two Librarians to assist the Library Director in the running of the library:
- Librarian (Operations and Systems) – this person will oversee our general collection management, driving improvements to the end user experience of using the library – both physically (for example, improving our signage and shelving) and virtually (by improving the use of our online catalogue, Bromcat)
- Librarian (Special Collections and Conservation) – this person will develop our use and management of our special collections, with a focus on improving our conservation efforts and activities that raise awareness of the more unique items within our collections.
Both are part-time positions, working 21 hours per week (3 days), and both roles also involve some overtime including regular Saturday shifts.
The right candidates will have a relevant qualification or an equivalent standard of knowledge gained through experience. They will have good communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities and a love for books.
