My clients business began after the two co-founders decided to develop a product that could be used to save lives caused by vehicle accidents, by reducing the response time of emergency services. They have now been in operation for nearly a decade and has now expanded to have offices based in Perth and the UK. The core team has 30+ years' experience in software and hardware engineering, research and medicine from working across the defence, telecommunications, automotive, public transport and medical industries.

Their mission of 'practical innovation' has led them to the development of safety-related telecommunications technology and flag ship technology of an automatic crash detection device.

They are now looking at expanding their team due to product demand and advancement. Their team requires people that have sound communication skills, who demonstrate a genuine commitment, are reliable and have a positive attitude, as well as bringing the necessary skills to the position.

The Role

* Assist with the development of my client's technology.

* Perform general hardware engineering duties to develop, enhance and fix hardware as required.

* Design and implementation of device hardware.

* Implementation of new design concepts.

* Work to established practices for document preparation and control.

* Assist with the continued development of quality assurance within the team.

Requirements

* Required:

* Minimum 3 - 5 years' experience in developing Hardware systems.

* Proven developing and integrating hardware and software systems.

* Proven understanding of testing and formal software release.

* The ability to work in a team or autonomously.

* Excellent written and verbal communications.

* Experience liaising with customers and suppliers.

* Tertiary qualifications in Electronic Engineering.

* An understanding knowledge of mission critical systems and the challenges faced when developing them.

* Experience liaising with customers and suppliers.

* The desire to have a go, take on a challenge, learn and grow with a young company.

* Valid driver's license.

* Desirable:

* ARM development experience.

* Software development experience.

* Experience within the automobile industry.

* An understanding of software integration processes a huge benefit.

* An understanding of the mobile and satellite telecommunications.
