Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Newtown, Powys - Negotiable Salary - Automation Industry
Role Specification
My client is a leading global provider of sophisticated automation equipment used in commercial and industrial applications. Their products are used in the most demanding applications requiring performance, reliability and energy efficiency in enhancing the productivity of automation machinery.
You will take a leading role in developing embedded software for the integration of products within modern industrial applications. This will include directing a small software projects team in the development of quality software alongside testing and design code reviews.
Main Duties
+ Plan and organise projects within a small team developing software designs and architectures
+ Apply design and verification techniques including static and test coverage analysis
+ Lead and participate in design and code reviews supporting less experienced engineers
+ Unit, integration and system testing of the code being produced
Skills and Experience Required
+ Computing, Science or Engineering Degree class 2(1) or higher
+ At least 5 years' experience in real-time software development using C/C++
+ Experience of UML, state transition diagrams and working to IEC 61508 or related standards
+ Unit, integration and system testing and also capable of supervising 3rd party testing
The salary is negotiable depending on experience and includes a generous bonus and benefits package. Relocation support is also available
