An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Caretaker/Facilities Manager to join our client in Prestwich.  This is initially a fixed term contract with a view to becoming permanent.

The purpose of this role is to assist in promoting a safe, secure and pleasant working environment by undertaking general maintenance, porterage and cleaning duties.  You will be responsible for operating the fire, security and CCTV systems as well as operating and monitoring the heating system and any health and safety issues.

In order to be successful in this role, it is essential that you have a minimum of 1 years Estates/Facilities/Industrial experience along with a good standard of education.  Although not essential, a Health & Safety qualification (or willingness to work towards one) would be beneficial.

With knowledge of manual handling, you will have the ability to work at heights from ladders and platforms and will be able to handle chemicals with due regard to COSHH regulations.  Excellent communication skills are important and you should also be able to demonstrate strong organisation skills, as well as an understanding of ‘safeguarding’ and its importance within the school.

Due to the nature of this role, candidates are expected to possess a full UK driving licence and demonstrate a flexible approach to working.
