Assistant Security Manager
Hours: 37.5 hour per week (0800 - ) on a rota basis.
Location: London Bridge
Salary: GBP33,000 + Benefits

Would you like to lead a dedicated security team at one of London's most prestigious and iconic venues?

Applicants must currently hold a SIA Door Supervisor License.

Please note that the role will involve working an early shift (0800 - 1630) and afternoon (1400 - 2230) on a rota basis.

Your role will include:

* Manage and lead a team of Security Officers. To deliver security, mailroom and porterage services, ensuring that adequate cover is provided across the day shifts and during the night service.

* Preparing and managing the shift rota for the security team to ensure that all positions are adequately covered.

* Provide management and operational support to logistics, security, enforcement, events and facilities operations

* Develop and implement Site Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality assuring service delivery and maintaining standards and discipline.

* Deliver security, facilities and emergency procedures related training to both staff and building occupants

* Assist in the management and maintenance of the CCTV and access control systems, ensuring that the correct documentation and SOPs are followed and audit trails are maintained.

* Assist and participate in event management, including taking full building responsibility for events outside normal office hours.

* Carry out the duties of a warranted Enforcement Officer at specific sites

* Act as the first line of management response in dealing with any incidents at sites and liaising with the emergency services and implement the organisations emergency response procedures when required.

* Manage allocated staff and maintain standards and discipline, ensuring that staff, work in accordance with the SOPs, policies and code of ethics.

* Take part in the recruitment and selection of staff

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

* Must possess and maintain a valid Security Industry Authority Door Supervision license

* Experience of supervising security staff

* Experience of conducting performance reviews

* Experience of conducting searches of people and items using manual and electronic measures.

* Experience of operating and managing cctv and access control systems.

* Awareness and understanding of health and safety issues and counter terrorism appropriate to the responsibilities of the job.

* Able to take charge of a situation and give instructions when the need arises, including dealing with front line conflict management and physical intervention situations.

* Able to multi-task and work under pressure to tight deadlines, particularly during incidents or emergency situation, where there may be public disorder and where clear instructions and leadership needs to be given to others.

* Able to recognise and manage sensitive situations and deal with them using tact and diplomacy.

* IT literate in MS Office products such as Word, Outlook and Excel.

* Must be willing to obtain a Public Space Surveillance License and any other licenses or qualifications that may be required by law
