About Health is one of the largest independent sector providers of community based dermatology services and referral management services under contract to the NHS. We currently deliver community dermatology services to the populations of 12 CCGs from Lancaster to Southend. In addition, we deliver electronic referral management services to 4 CCGs in Yorkshire and the North East.

We have been shortlisted 3 times for the Health Investor Awards, as Community Provider of the Year and we are proud to say we have never lost a contract that we have been awarded. In 2016 we became part of the Totally plc Group and with the support of our parent company we have ambitious and exciting growth plans.

Over the next three years we aim to double our turnover, while retaining or increasing our net margin. We want to win more work in our core service areas and diversify into other out of hospital services e.g. ENT, cardiology and gynaecology. We also want to harness new technology to become more efficient and offer more tailored services to our patients. We want to do this while retaining our focus on high quality responsive services and aspire to be rated as Outstanding by the Care Quality Commission. Alongside this we need to identify and harness synergies across the other companies within the Totally plc group.

A key building block to delivering our goals is the appointment of a Chief Operating Officer to work closely with the Chief Executive in turning our vision and strategy into effective action. The Chief Operating Officer will run the day to day business, with responsibility for profit and loss and the delivery of the business plan. They will create organisational focus and accountability through integrating About Health's key functions and aligning priorities across them.

Suitable candidates will be skilled in building, managing and holding to account effective teams in an organisation with plans for significant growth and diversification. They will demonstrate knowledge and experience which allows them to build credibility with both the existing workforce and our clients.

They will be a decisive resilient problem solver, a strong leader and manager with great planning and organisational skills and a talent for creating cohesive teams.
