Neighbourhood Officer [Part-Time]
£24,925 p/annum rising to £29,017 with length of service pro-rata
Blackburn & Lancashire area
Part-Time | 18.5 hours p/week


This role is part-time and the 18.5 hours a week will be working Monday Tuesday Wednesday 4.5 hours a day & Thursdays 5 hours a day. 



Due to continued growth and expansion, the Together Housing team based out of Blackburn, Lancashire are looking to add to their Neighbourhood Management team, and we are looking for someone who is keen to provide a top quality service to all our customers, tenants and residents – ensuring it is both efficient and customer focused.


You will need to have excellent communication skills as you will need to provide advice and assistance to current tenants and residents on all matters housing, in order to help them successfully maintain their tenancy


The role is going to be based out Blackburn, Lancashire  and your primary focus is going to be split between making sure people have safe houses to move into and managing tenancies, as well as helping to assess applicants on the housing register & waiting list.


Another part of the role will be to actively promote and be invested in working with other teams in the regeneration of various schemes / estates to promote sustainability within all of our communities.


Past experience of monitoring vacant stock levels across various areas would be an advantage, as you will have to be responsible for ensuring any vacant properties are re-let with a minimum delay. You will need to liaise with the Empty Homes team as well as the inspection teams, and make sure all management policies are followed to keep all of our properties to a consistently high level.



In order to successfully undertake the role of Neighbourhood Officer, working out of our Blackburn, Lancashire office, you will require the following key skills knowledge & experience:

 

  • Experience of working with customers dealing with a broad range of housing management duties
  • Experience of involving and engaging customers and stakeholders
  • The ability to interpret and apply different procedures
  • An ability to manage confidential and personal information appropriately and sensitively
  • Knowledge and understanding of current housing, welfare & neighbourhood management issues



Due to the nature of the role, you will require a full and current driving license, along with access to a vehicle insured for business use
