The Role

We have an excellent opportunity for a Learning and Development Partner to join Aldermore on a fixed term contract. Covering all aspects of Learning and Development from apprenticeships to core development through to talent management and succession planning. You will work across all business functions to define and deliver high impact functional learning and development solutions aligned to our strategic priorities.

Key Accountabilities

* Actively lead on bank wide leadership development programmes at all levels

* Use appropriate MI (management information) to identify key talent groups and the succession planning activities

* Be a key driver of implementing a universal competency framework, and subsequently leading on identifying strategic learning needs through a learning needs analysis, and upskilling managers to conduct individual learning needs analysis

* Responsible for managing apprenticeship schemes and potential graduate schemes, including the apprenticeship levy

* Responsible for maintaining all L&D SOPs (Standard operating processes) and training team members on utilising L&D SOPs

* Working alongside business leaders and HR Business Partners to identify performance & development gaps and develop company wide programmes to bridge gaps.

* Partnering with key third party suppliers to design and implement learning and development strategies

* Responsible for managing the process for all bank wide regulatory training, including liaising with internal subject matter experts and third party learning content suppliers.

* Fully responsible for the L&D budget, including SOPs, monitoring and forecasting

* Analyse and evaluate L&D MI to monitor against ROI of key programmes

* Management of Learning Management System to drive learning engagement and extract KPI data, including all content maintenance

* Responsible for design and delivery of end to end bank wide on-boarding approach, including design and delivery of the induction programme (workshop and online content)

* Design and facilitate leadership team away days as appropriate

* Be a key driver of bank wide engagement activities including strategy roadshow events, cultural events, and wellbeing events

The Person

* Significant experience of working in a Learning and Development role supporting multiple functions, preferably across the whole organisation.

* Knowledge and experience in best practice in talent management and succession planning

* Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning styles, participative training design, group dynamics, and interactive learning methods for knowledge retention

* Significant training experience including training design & delivery across a variety of solutions at different levels

* Experience of managing Leadership Development programmes at different levels

* Experience of partnering with & managing third party suppliers to deliver successful outcomes

* Budget management experience (including use of systems, tools and reporting)

* Experience of designing engaging e-learning content using articulate storyline or similar

* Experience of managing multiple projects at once to deliver a successful outcome

* Significant experience of coaching individuals at different levels, and supporting other internal coaches in best practice coaching

* Experience of building strong stakeholder relationships quickly

* Experience of managing the end to end on-boarding process
