We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety- Advisor/ Project Assistant to join our client's team, ideally based in South Wales or Bristol to cover the M4 Corridor.
The role will be based in the Health & Safety projects team to assist with the workload for the company's larger client base mainly in the construction sector.
The role will be dynamic, involving travel & some overnight stays- in and around the South Wales & Bristol region with the occasional visit across the UK to help with other departments.
The requirement has arisen due to the expanding workload across the department with a healthy pipeline coming from the sales team. The role is for a candidate who would like to enhance their H&S skills and be mentored into senior appointments as the company continues to expand
Duties:
* Regular site inspections
* Health & Safety reviews of contractors
* Supporting incident investigations
* Advising on H&S legislation including CDM
* Creation of support tools for clients (guidance notes, toolbox talks, newsletters etc)
* Assisting with project management
Mandatory skills:
* Minimum NEBOSH certificate or equivalent
* Tech IOSH status
* Experience within construction, civils or engineering industry
* Ability to engage and influence site operatives, supervisors and project managers
* Maintains a high level of energy and enthusiasm for H&S
Desirable skills:
* IEMA foundation or associate certificate
* Exposure to ISO accreditations
* NEBOSH diploma and Grad IOSH status
* Fire risk assessment qualification
Please note that successful candidates must be prepared to travel between locations as mentioned above- Car/ Fuel allowance will be available
