Becoming a Lead HR Business Partner within Capita Specialist Services

Capita are currently looking for a Lead HR Business Partner to line manage a team of HR Business Partners and support with the partnering with Business Leaders to provide pragmatic and commercially focussed solutions to bring the People agenda to life. You will also support with the delivery of the business strategy by creating an environment of positive people management; ensuring we attract, develop and retain talented people who are fully engaged.

Location: Please note that this is an office-based role and can be based out of London, Bristol, Cheltenham, York or Birmingham

What you will do:

*

Establish an understanding of the relevant business area and use this, plus any people insight data, to identify, develop, agree and deliver a People Plan

*

Deliver a Business Partnering service to senior business leaders, whilst also acting as a trusted partner, coach and mentor on people issues.

*

Demonstrate a commercial approach with a high-level of financial acumen to identify any key financial challenges

*

Leverage your strong business acumen to bring insight to support the business agenda and strategy

*

Lead and manage a HR team- providing support, direction and development as required

*

Collaborate with specialist teams and partners, providing broader people services to ensure delivery of Divisional people priorities.

*

Lead the team to support the business in delivering their profit margin and growth targets

*

In partnership with key business stakeholders, take accountability for the delivery of positive momentum in key people metrics (e.g. retention, employee engagement etc) in line with the business/division people plan

*

Work in collaboration with the Performance & Development, Reward, Resourcing and HR systems

*

Ensure the right people are in the right roles via effective workforce planning, to identify solutions to address, diversity, skills, capability development and succession

*

Act as escalation for complex or senior-level employee relations cases, including management of Employment Tribunals, representing on behalf of the Company as appropriate

*

Act as HR lead on key projects including Transformation, Trade Union relationships and negotiations and any divisional sales, acquisition, integration or disposal related activity

*

Manage employee engagement, sustainability and performance management activities

*

Act as an Ambassador for Capita's purpose, values and behaviours

*

Ensure compliance with agreed company and functional standards in line with our Operating Model

*

Remain abreast of market trends and functional best practices, and determine adjustments to ensure consistent delivery and deployment of best practice outcomes

Your experience will include:

*

True HR generalist experience, preferably within a commercial, fast paced multi-site environment, with a track record of strong delivery across the people agenda

*

Experience of working in a matrix organisation in conjunction with central functions & delivery partners

*

Ability to develop strong and trusted relationships with key senior stakeholders

*

Experience in developing & implementing a strategic people agenda which is aligned to business objectives and performance

*

Line management experience

*

Good influencing skills, with the proven ability to provide pragmatic and commercial solutions to business problems

*

Ability to work flexibly over a wide geographical area and have experience of working in a multi-site/mobile capacity (note: the specific requirements in this respect will vary according to the business areas supported)

*

High levels of resilience and be able to cope with ambiguity and changing (sometimes competing) demands

*

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Desirable

*

CIPD qualified and/or equivalent experience

*

Experience of working in complex structures and organisations where delivery of the people proposition is through the influencing of delivery partners to enable a positive change within the business.

*

Ability to assimilate and analyse data and provide examples of where you have used this to influence decisions or deliver outcomes

*

Experience of working in, or with an outsourced provider
