Your Role: An exciting opportunity has become available for a Technology Development Scientist to join our team in Haverhill. As a Technology Development Scientist, you will manage scientific and technical projects aiming at improving the performance of Sigma Custom Products (SCP) manufacturing of synthetic nucleic acids (oligonucleotides). The projects will consider (without limitation) optimization of the synthesis or the purification methods, development or implementation of new analytical techniques, etc. The function also supports the Production, Customer Services, Marketing and Sales teams by providing them with the right level of expertise to facilitate their work or win new businesses.

Who You Are:
  • Master's degree in a Chemistry related discipline
  • Previous experience working in a similar environment
  • Experience supporting process improvement
  • Knowledge of ISO or similar QMS
  • Knowledge of analytical techniques such as HPLC
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
  • Have a proactive approach with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of computer-based systems
