Our solicitor client seeks a Company Commercial Solicitor to work in Hertford. As a result of planned expansion, the purpose of the role is to join a busy team working on a range of company commercial matters, as well as developing relationships with new clients and to be actively involved in business development. The successful candidate will work alongside two Company Commercial partners, one solicitor and one secretary.
Personal Qualities of Company Commercial Solicitor
* Someone who has great personality, uses their initiative, takes pride in what they do.
* A qualified and practicing solicitor with NQ - 4 years PQE in company commercial work
* Experience of and a real interest in business development is essential
* Strong academic record
* Excellent interpersonal skills, in particular an ability to develop a relationship of trust with clients and colleagues alike
* Ability to draft letters to a high standard and with attention to detail
* Meet with clients without supervision to take instructions and advise on matters
* Present seminars and workshops on topics within your area of practice to existing and prospective clients
* Ability to meet and exceed time recording and financial targets
* Well-developed IT skills including Microsoft Office and use of an integrated Case Management system
* Driving licence and access to own car
* A team player who is looking for a long term future with a progressive, well regarded firm
Duties and Responsibilities of Company Commercial Solicitor
In addition to the caseload the successful candidate will be expected to be actively involved in all aspects of business development including presenting of seminars, writing articles and blogs, networking within the business community, and with key referrers primarily in Hertfordshire and London.
