Cunninghame Housing Association is the first Housing Association in Scotland (with more than 50 employees) to be awarded Investors in People Platinum, Investors in Young People Gold Accreditation and Investors in People Health & Wellbeing Good Practice Award. With more than 2,500 properties in North and East Ayrshire the Association plans to build circa 1200 plus houses within the North and East Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway areas over the next 5 years.
The Association aims to achieve excellence in service delivery to its customers and to assist in this we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Development Officer to work within our very busy Development Services Department.
POST: Senior Development Officer GRADE: Grade 8 (PA28 – PA31)
SALARY: £39,286 - £42,505
35 HOURS PER WEEK
Reporting to the Development Manager, you will contribute to maintaining the Development function’s high standard of service delivery. The post holder will work with the Development Manager to manage the Development Portfolio, minimising risk and obtaining greatest value for money. They will also have experience in planning and implementing the specification, procurement, programming and delivery of new build affordable housing programmes or the delivery of construction projects. Project Management experience is, therefore, an essential requirement for the post.
You will be responsible for effective performance management and supervision of the relevant Project Design Teams. A strong team player with a customer focused approach to work you will possess excellent communication skills and have the ability to prioritise a demanding workload and work to tight deadlines. You will also take responsibility for specific identified Contracts through all stages of planning through to post completion with full responsibility for managing and delivering the schemes on time and within budget.
The postholder will also assist with the operation in the development of the Associations new build development programme in Dumfries and Galloway. You will work closely with other departments i.e. Housing and Property Services and Finance and Corporate Services to ensure a “joined up approach” is delivered. A full driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this post. This post will initially be based at the Associations Head Office in Ardrossan and will require travel to work from our office in Dumfries.
Depending on the volume of work of our Development Programme the post would eventually be based in Dumfries.
