Tamar Bridge & Torpoint Ferry Joint Committee seek a Control Room Assistant to join the Operational team at the Tamar Bridge. This is a dynamic and safety critical role in a unique environment. As a member of the Operations Team the CRA will provide assistance to the Duty Supervisor to manage toll collection and maintain safe, efficient, and reliable traffic flows through the Tidal Flow corridor. Reporting in the first instance to the Duty Supervisor.

The Tamar Bridge is part of the critical highway network infrastructure connecting Devon and Cornwall. The Control room is at the hub of operations 24/7 365 days a year and as such the ability to prioritise, multi task and demonstrate  flexibility are essential.

Main duties and responsibilities include the management of the Toll collection process, utilising Control systems, CCTV and communicating with staff to ensure compliance with safety operational and financial procedures.

The role involves a high degree of interaction with people you will be required to engage directly with our customers via telephone and one to one in response to enquiries, prioritising workload, and routing more complex issues to the relevant management team leader.

There will be basic data processing and compilation of tolling  reports

Part time (3-week cyclical shift pattern equivalent to 30hrs/ wk.) annual holiday allowance, and opportunity to work overtime ,local government pension scheme, sick pay.
