JOB TITLE: Pesticide Sprayer Operator / Spraying Operative
SALARY & BENEFITS: Competitive salary dependent on skills and experience
WORKING HOURS: Full Time - will require a level of flexibility due to nature of business and industry
THE COMPANY & THE ROLE: Our client is a large scale farming business in Lincolnshire covering 12,000 acres of arable land, operating on a 12m controlled traffic system. They are a forward thinking progressive farming business and are now looking to employ a skilled and conscientious Pesticide Sprayer Operator / Spraying Operative. As a Pesticide Sprayer Operator / Spraying Operative you will work at times on your own, but also as part of a large team and will be responsible in taking a leading role in spraying operations within the business.
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the Pesticide Sprayer Operator / Spraying Operative role will need to be a reliable person who is self-motivated and can work well on their own using their initiative. Candidates will ideally hold a PA1 & PA2 pesticide spraying certificate, however applicants with agricultural knowledge and a background in agriculture may still be considered provided they are committed to undergoing training. It is essential candidates have a high attention to detail and be willing to work long hours during peak periods to ensure timeliness of applications. Candidates will also need to be able to commute to Wragby near Market Rasen (LN8 5LE) which is within commutable distance from Lincoln, Louth and surrounding areas.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Pesticide Sprayer Operator / Spraying Operative role:-
- Will hold PA1 & PA2 pesticide spraying certificate and have previous spraying experience
- Will need to be self-motivated and have initiative to work on their own at times
- Must have a valid Driving Licence
- Must be able to commute to Wragby
