£32,200 - £34,300 p.a.
Closing Date: Sunday 28 July 2019

Do you want to help improve the health and wellbeing of patients?

The Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) is a membership organisation and charity representing nearly 22,500 anaesthetists working across the UK and internationally. It represents and ensures the quality of patient care by safeguarding standards in the three specialties of anaesthesia, intensive care and pain medicine. Anaesthesia is UK’s largest hospital specialty and the College works to support our members in improving patients' well being before, during and after surgery.

We are looking for a talented Publications and Business Coordinator to join our Policy and Public Affairs team and help us deliver the RCoA’s five-year strategy. You will support the Policy and Patient Information Manager in the review and updating of existing patient information resources, as well as the development and drafting of new resources.

You will also support and manage all aspects of the editorial office for the CPD journal of the British Journal of Anaesthesia (BJA) Education; raising the profile and protecting its reputation, while acting as the main point of contact for the Editor-in-Chief of BJA Education. You will offer administrative support across a range of work undertaken by the team, helping to meet the objectives set out for the Policy and Public Affairs (PPA) team.

The successful candidate will have worked in a similar role so will have experience of managing the day-to-day activities of committees and coordinating representation and input from committees across a business. In addition, you will be able to juggle a complex administrative agenda, proactively build and manage internal/external networks and work collaboratively across internal project teams and external coalitions. A confident communicator, you will have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences, such as clinicians and College staff.

Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications, we are unable to provide detailed feedback to candidates on their application. Only short-listed applicants will be contacted after the closing date.
