Our client is a c£160million business which supplies cake and desserts in Own Brand to the Major Multiples. There are two sites in the North West at Bolton and Oldham. The Oldham site is a craft bakery supplying cake products and mainstream desserts mostly to Marks & Spencers. The Bolton site manufactures more commodity based products making for example slab cakes, and top tier unit cake for a variety of retailers including Sainsbury’s, Asda, Tesco’s and Morrisons, and also features some brand products.

The success of the business has further been recognised both by its peers and within its sector by being awarded a variety of awards including the Bakery Food Manufacturer of the year.

An opportunity has arisen to work in our NPD Department to provide specification writing services for all customers.

Job Profile:

Upload product details onto customer internet-based systems

Create Customer documentation

Action product change authorisations

Create and maintain Technical Data systems to store accurate technical data

Provide support for ad hoc Technical support as directed 

Artwork approval and packaging sign off

Candidate Profile:

Accuracy and attention to detail is vital and experience of working in environments that are based upon high detail/proof reading/accurate data transfer is essential

Experience of customer internet systems

Experience of M&S FIND system essential

High level administration including an aptitude for working with systems

Evidence of planning workloads and prioritisation

Must be fully competent with pc packages

Previous experience in the food industry is required

Ability to work as part of a team

Experience of working towards tight deadlines whilst maintaining accuracy

Able to communicate clearly, fluently and openly with all levels of the business both written and verbal

Proactive, keen, eager with a hands-on approach and eager to make a difference

Hours

8:30 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday, 08:30 – 16:00 Friday
