I am working with a global Pensions advisory company, who are looking for a Pensions Proposition Consultant to join there team in London.
You will work within the data solutions team within the UK Pensions department to assist clients unlock the potential in their data in order to achieve their strategic aims. You will also work closely with the Head of Data Sales to provide market leading solutions and consultancy to their clients.
- Work directly with the Head of Data Sales and existing client teams to generate, pursue and win new data projects
- Maintain a database of leads and uses own initiative to take proactive steps to follow up on new business leads
- Develop a wide network, both internally and externally to promote our Data Solutions business
- Support the creation of compelling responses to tenders and proposals
- Create, maintain and proactively update sales and marketing collateral for internal and external purposes
- Develop, monitor and own effective MI to ensure that estimating tools are continuously refreshed and accurate
The successful applicant will evidence the following essential skills/experience for this role:
- Ability to identify a client's needs, create relevant solutions and articulate the value proposition
- A demonstrable knowledge of and experience of working with UK defined benefit pension arrangements
- Experience in engaging with clients and prospects to sell new projects and leverage opportunities from existing projects
- A clear, concise and confident communicator of complex or technical issues relating to UK pensions member data to a broad audience. An aptitude for creating clear and impactful written explanations of complex data matters, bringing the subject to life
- The ability to work equally well independently and collaboratively with the Head of Data Sales and in a team, and enjoys a fast-paced environment
- A good networker, both internally within Willis Towers Watson, and externally
- A willingness to build an external market presence for the Data Solutions team
- Experience of supporting responses to tenders for new business
- A firm commitment to delivering high quality service
- Willingness to travel across the UK to work closely with sales teams and to meet clients and prospects
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Powerpoint and Word
- Minimum academic requirements grade 9 - 4 / Grade C or above for English Language and Maths at GCSE or equivalent
Other highly desirable skills/experience are:
- Experience in developing pricing and scoping models, standardising material and monitoring MI to feed back into future projects
- Experience in data auditing, data cleanse, GMP or de-risking projects
- Experience in public speaking
- Inquisitive, self-starter attitude and ability to work with ambiguity
For your hard work in this role you will you will receive a salary GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 and a fantastic benefits package.
