Grade I - Salary Range £23,470 - £30,455pa (actual salary £19,923 - £25,853pa)

37 hours per week, term time (38 weeks) plus 5 inset days and overtime as required, which may include occasional evenings and non-term time working

Salary paid for 44.263 weeks per year

(increasing to 45.048 weeks per year after 5 years’ service)

Start date: 1 September 2019 or by negotiation

A Trust Management Accountant and Business Support Assistant is required to play a key role in supporting the financial and business affairs of The Roseland Multi Academy Trust and to ensure the Trust complies with financial regulations.  The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent management accounting skills, preferably within the education sector in both secondary and primary phases. Excellent working knowledge of Capita SIMS, FMS or Access Education Finance software and school/academy finance is an advantage and you must be proficient in the use of Excel and hold relevant financial and accountancy qualifications (minimum AAT Level 3 essential, Level 4 desirable).  This role will involve travelling to and working at schools across the Trust.

Under direction of the Chief Financial Officer, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the accounting system for the Multi Academy Trust and undertaking standard monthly routines.  The role will involve reconciling the monthly payroll, preparing and analysing monthly management accounts and reporting on budget forecasts to key stakeholders.
