The Club Steward performs functions that are vital to the smooth day to day operation of the Monson Club. The successful candidate will be expected to manage the planning, delivery, preparation and sale of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink in an efficient, effective and friendly manner. The Steward will play an integral part in developing the atmosphere into a welcoming environment and will ensure that the Club house is operational. We are offering between 22 to 27 hours per week covering 3 or 4 evenings per week and Sunday afternoons but this could extend to 30 hours per week due to dealing with deliveries etc.
Overall Job Responsibilities
The Steward is responsible for managing, planning, monitoring and controlling all aspects of the Club and its facilities. The key aim of this role is to provide Club members with a consistency good experience by achieving and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hospitably. The Post holder will be expected to explore cost saving efficiencies and service improvements and, in consultation with the Management Team, maximise the commercial opportunities available. The Steward will be expected to assist with the growth and development of the Social Club and adopt a “can-do” approach. The post holder is expected to be an Ambassador for the Monson Club. At least 2 years Bar work experience is essential. Bar stock & finance Management experience is preferable.
