My client are a leading 1st tier Automotive manufacturer. Due to continued expansion we are seeking to recruit 2 Maintenance Engineers for our client who is an award winning manufacturer of pressed components and welded assemblies based in the Birmingham area.
Working for a world class manufacturer of aluminium pressed products and tier 1 automotive supplier to respected global brands, based from high tech 24/7 plant operation in Birmingham.
JOB DESCRIPTION
To ensure that under the direction and guidance of the Works Engineer / Maintenance Coordinator T.P.M's and general maintenance work mechanical & electrical is carried out effectively and efficiently across all areas of the site.
Carry out basic planned maintenance according to the TPM programme.
Review the preventative maintenance plan weekly and report any concerns to your Supervisor.
Assist and liaise with contractors as required or instructed by your Supervisor.
Liaise formally with manufacturing Team Leaders on progress and report any concerns identified.
Mechanical/electrical press, plant and site repairs in accordance with the maintenance report procedure.
Update the maintenance folders as and when required.
Ensure all equipment you are working on or with is safe and fit for the purpose, if not report this to your Supervisor immediately.
Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to during work.
Maintain good housekeeping practices in any given work area.
Be prepared to work outside' normal working hours' as and when required.
To attend any training courses and / or meetings when requested
Working within a team in order to improve site maintenance and ensuring that internal/external customer requirements are met.
This position will support the Maintenance Manager in order to provide critical support to the maintenance within the plant.
Responsibilities include the day-to-day maintenance of general equipment used in a presswork and welding manufacturing environment.
The purpose of the job is to minimise and reduce down time of all machines in the plant.
