Our Client, who have been providing mainstream legal services in the North East for over four decades are currently recruiting an experienced Legal Secretary specialising within Family Law, to be based within their Darlington office
Duties;
* Receive and sort incoming mail
* Greet clients and visitors, prepare refreshments
* Arrange meetings, book conference rooms and manage fee-earners' electronic diaries
* Receive and direct telephone calls, take messages and pass on in a timely manner
* Respond to client queries in a helpful and courteous manner ensuring the client experiences the highest quality of service possible
* Ensure confidentiality of all the firm's and clients' documentation and information
* File management including daily filing, opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files
* Updating and maintaining client information on internal database
* Photocopying, printing and other administration duties
* Ensure tidy work area at all times
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
* Audio typing to a high standard
* Previous experience of working as a legal secretary in a busy family department is essential
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with those at all levels
* Computer literate, including proficiency in MS Office, word and excel
* Able to maintain a high level of presentation and accuracy
* Enthusiastic and hardworking
* Strong organisational skills and keen to learn
* Able to integrate well into a team
