Quality Assurance Officer - Dundee (6 month fixed term contract)

Our client is a knowledge based, science led business focused on delivering the services, expertise and capabilities to their clients. Their business is focused on a number of core sectors including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, food, environmental, agrochemical, petrochemical, chemical and consumer products industries. They support drug research, discovery and development to their pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients; provide testing and specialist analytical services and consultancy to the pharmaceutical, food and environmental sectors, toxicology services to the pharmaceutical, chemical, agrochemical and consumer products industries and materials chemistry services to the petrochemical industry. The company currently employs over 800 employees across 11 main sites in the U.K.
Due to increased growth and ongoing improvements our client have a brand-new opportunity to join the business as a Quality Assurance Officer. This is a full-time temporary position based at their site in Dundee.
The Quality Assurance Officer's function is to assist the current QA team with the independent Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) monitoring of work conducted as required by the regulatory guidelines.
Main Duties to:
Assist with maintaining the Quality Assurance Programme for GLP/GCP studies
Participate in reviewing Study Plans, where required.
Perform all aspects and types of auditing required to maintain compliance for GLP & GCP work performed.
Prepare and issue Quality Assurance Statements.
Review SOPs for compliance with principles of GLP and GCP, as required.
Assist with maintaining audit programmes, scheduling.
Train other personnel in all aspects of Quality Assurance Systems and Procedures, as required.
Advise management of any deficiencies in Regulatory Requirements.
Liaise with site personnel to ensure a full understanding of regulatory requirements.
Participate and perform administrative tasks as required.
Skills and Experience
BSc in chemistry or related subject
Ideally GLP auditing experience, consideration will be given to applicants with less auditing experience who have worked in a Regulatory GLP environment.
Experience of GCP within Laboratories would be advantageous
