Maintenance Electrical Technician
Full Time/Permanent 40hrs per week
Working 5 days from 7 plus out of hours call out 7 days for one week in every six.
Salary: GBP26,000 plus call out charge & enhanced hourly rate whilst on call

Job Description
To assist the Maintenance Department in carrying out a first-class maintenance provision to the Hotel's buildings, services and equipment. Whilst the primary focus of work will be on General Buildings Maintenance, with a strong bias to electrical systems and related control gear, the job holder will also be required to undertake reactive works when required/instructed in order to assist the wider team.
Responsibilities to include
1 To carry out effective repairs and installations to all faulty/damaged equipment as advised by the Group Maintenance Manager.
2 To carry out routine and preventative maintenance/service checks to all electrical plant and equipment and additional buildings services.
3 To trace, locate and rectify electrical faults and ensure appliances are left in a safe and serviceable condition.
4 To carry out small building works as advised by line manager. Including but not limited to electrical systems, to include when required plumbing, decorating, joinery etc.
5 To accurately complete all periodic compliance tests and inspections on all electrical works as required by statutory current legislation.
6 To report all faulty appliances/installations that do not comply with current regulations.
7 To achieve a high-class standard of response time to any breakdown or damage.
8 To be responsible for the direction of work of some sub-contractors, apprentices or other employees on specific tasks as agreed by line manager.
Person specification
1 Proven track record in all aspects of group electrical systems maintenance.
2 C&G/NVQ/apprenticeship qualification/18th Edition in a specific area of maintenance, ie electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or painting and decorating.
3 May already have Leisure/Pool Plant Room experience from previous role and may have evidence of relevant training.
4 Must have excellent awareness of current H&S regulations, ability to work in a safe manner, backed up by evidence of related relevant training.
5 Previous experience preferred from customer orientated environments.
6 Must be a Team player and be able to work on own initiative, independently without a need for constant supervision.
7 Able to communicate to internal and external contacts.
8 Must be flexible in relation to call out rota/ weekend working.
9 Full driving license essential.
10 May already have a current fork lift truck licence. (not essential)
