Ecologist - Bristol

Our Client, a well known Specialist Ecological Consultancy is now seeking an enthusiatic Ecologist to join their team in Bristol.

Ecologist Main Duties and Responsibilities;
-Managing small projects, with support from senior staff, to deliver biodiversity objectives, including staff allocation, budget management and invoicing
-Ecological appraisals
-Protected species or vegetation surveys
-Communicating with clients by telephone, letters and reports
-Implementing mitigation and enhancement strategies
-Supervising contractors
-Supporting seasonal staff and placement students

Experience Required;
-Experience of project management, meeting deadlines, working within budgets
-Proven experience of surveying protected species and/or vegetation
-Good report writing and communication skills
-Previous practicable habitat management experience
-Implementation of planning policy and legislation for nature conservation

Person Specification
-Relevant degree
-Member of CIEEM (or eligible to become one)
