Are you a dynamic business development professional, with a proven record of sales achievement, looking to take the next step in your career advancement? This is a newly created role, largely office based but with the ability to travel overseas when required and in line with the business strategy you will assist in planning. The Business Development Manager will further develop the company's global presence, through existing and new dealerships. You will be an experienced Sales Manager who enjoys working with well-known multi-national organisations, as well as individual artisan businesses. We are looking for a hungry, enthusiastic and driven Business Development Manager who loves dealing with trade professionals, has experience of working with dealerships, and who also enjoys worldwide travel. Key responsibilities - Global Sales Manager:
- Work with the Board of Directors to identify most profitable markets to target
- Target and develop markets identified
- Support and develop relationships with current dealerships, encouraging their growth
- Assist and work with marketing and sales team to promote company branding
- Represent the company at UK and International trade shows, expo's etc.
- Support new and existing distributors in understanding the Company's products, processes and technical standards
- Prepare contractual documentation
- Respond in an appropriate manner and timescale to distributor and client enquiries
- Monitor distributors performance through effective account management and audits
- Prepare regular reports, KPI's, financial for Board of Directors
Personal specification - Global Sales Manager:
- Be passionate about sales and business development with a proactive approach, a will to succeed
- Proven sales experience within a global market, ideally within self-adhesive labels, printing machinery etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Experience of preparing and interpreting contractual documentation
- Able to prioritise a busy work schedule
- Be able to travel overseas on a regular basis
- A highly professional, friendly personality yet persuasive and charismatic
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative
- You will be confident presenting to individuals and groups
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients at all levels
- Good IT skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Second language would be useful
