Location: Stevenage
Band: 5
Pay Rates: GBP11.00 - GBP15.00 per hour paye or GBP14.00 - GBP18.00 umbrella per hour depending on skill and experience
Working days and hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
KEY RESULT AREAS
Database Management
  • Routine updating of centralised databases, using established procedures to batch process extracts from various Trust sources
  • Ensuring that database update problems are dealt with promptly and efficiently
Information Production
  • Production of information summaries for Trust, Health Authority, DoH and other purposes, ensuring that data collection routines are automated where possible, is robust, and that data is accurate and up to date
  • Ensure that all regular returns are completed and despatched to meet deadlines
Ad-Hoc Reporting
  • Acting on own initiative
  • Collate and interpret data where possible when responding to a request for information
Liaison
  • Work with Principal Information Analyst and Senior Information Analyst on reporting requirements across the Trust
  • First line contact for HRBP's, Managers, operational colleagues within the Trust to support any service reporting requirements
Development
  • Support the development of the information service and the information skills of business managers to improve the flow and use of information at the Trust
  • Contributing to intranet content and making use of intranet-based information presentation tools
  • Share information skills learning with other members of the team
Documentation
  • Ensuring that all documentation relating to the team and its activities is kept fully up to date
Quality
  • Continually review activities to ensure that the most effective mode of operation is achieved at all times
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Knowledge:
  • Database management and reporting tools
  • Using MS Access and Excel to a high standard
  • Awareness of NHS National Programme for IT
Experience:
  • Batch data processing
  • Production of routine reports following existing procedures
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysisPrevious Workforce / NHS Information Analyst
