Liverpool City Council are looking to recruit two Lead Programme Management Officers to work within the City Council’s Programme Management Office.
The City Council are delivering a wide range of priority programmes and projects across all our service areas with the aim to deliver the Mayor’s Inclusive Growth Plan for a strong and growing city, built on fairness. These programmes and projects will hugely impact on the City over the coming years, bringing significant change and benefits for people living, working and visiting the City.
These can range from major regeneration schemes such as Paddington Village and Festival Gardens; to improvement programmes and projects in our Adult’s and Children’s directorates such as improvements to social care delivery and tackling homelessness.
Additionally the City Council has embarked upon a major Transformation Plan to drive efficiency and service delivery improvements through the way it operates.
These roles involves supporting, monitoring and scrutinising corporate priority programmes and projects as well as the delivery of the Council’s Transformation Plan.
The post holders will also use their expertise to promote a consistent and best practice programme and project management approach across the organisation.
We are seeking someone who has sound project and programme management knowledge and experience, has excellent organisational skills and who also has the necessary confidence to challenge senior project leads and management with regard to delivery of the Council’s programmes and projects.
