MOD - Caretaker/house keeper - National
Facilities Team Temp will support the NCHQ FAcilities Team and Building Manager to maintain and upkeep the building. Providing assistance to personnel located in the building by supporting with desk moves, equipment moves, post services, stationary services and any other task required to meet the facilities business needs.
The Facility Team office will be staffed from 0730 - 1545 Mon - Thurs and 0730 - 1200 Fri. Staff work a 37 hr week Mon to Fri.

Tasks expected of NCHQ SKZ1 in Facility Team are:
a. To assist with 'Self Help' tasks such as painting walls in the HQ.
b. To assist the BARRACKMASTER and the BUILDING MANAGER with ad hoc tasks.
c. To ensure that rubbish/arisings (But not office waste bins) are removed from all floors of Leach Building and placed in the receptacles at the rear of Leach Building.
d. To ensure that photocopier paper is replenished, where necessary, on a daily basis.
e. To take delivery of and unload stores when required.
f. Build flat pack furniture as required. Provide a furniture removal and replacement service during staff/office moves
g. To ensure that break out areas are kept fully supplied with cups for water coolers, paper towels and hand wash detergent.
h. Ensure the surrounding area of Leach Building are keep clear of rubbish on a daily basis
i. To ensure that the HQ shredding machines are emptied/checked regularly.
j. To ensure that waste bins are compacted as necessary.
k. To ensure that the delivery area at the rear of Leach Building is kept clean and tidy.
l. The gritting of footpaths adjacent to Leach Building and West Battery during inclement weather.
m. Respond to 80% of telephone or verbal enquiries immediately. When an immediate response cannot be provided, a response is to be made within 3 hours. If a response cannot be made within this time scale, Line Management must be informed
