Sue Ross Recruitment are handling an exciting permanent opportunity working for a leading firm based in Sheffield. Due to expansion they are looking for an experienced and dynamic Learning & Development Manager to join their well-established HR function.

Working as part of a dynamic organisation which is subject to change, the role has the potential to expand to meet expanding business objectives and conditions. You will work closely with the management team to manage all aspects of learning and people development, including analysing needs, identifying and managing external learning providers. You will design and deliver targeted content and ensure all learning activities support the company's plans for growth.

Duties and responsibilities include;

* Identifying development needs through training needs analysis, data analysis, feedback, observation, and strategic objectives

* Making appropriate training recommendations to the business, including the assessment of cost/time implications

* Tracking budgets and negotiating contracts

* Developing, delivering and evaluating learning experiences to drive professional development

* Identifying, managing and developing relationships with external training providers

* Managing training requests/needs

* Working alongside HR managers and stakeholders to provide learning experiences for technical skills in line with business needs

* Designing and delivering 'soft skills' training solutions that are aligned with individual and business needs

* Developing and maintaining an L&D intranet space to share course notes and promote learning/development offerings

* Measuring and demonstrating success of training courses, regular reporting

* Playing a key role in the design, delivery and management of the company induction program

* Identifying areas of improvement, opportunity and innovation, working with the HR Management team to suggest/implement any changes

* Maintaining employee data and records accurately

The successful candidate will meet the following criteria;

* Proven demonstrable experience as L&D Manager or Training Manager

* Familiarity with e-learning platforms and practices

* Experience in the design and delivery of training

* Project management and budgeting experience

* Professional certification, CIPD or equivalent

* Candidates with a background in the technology industry will be at an advantage
