2 or 3 days a week based from home, with all travel paid. This is a nice role if you are a bid writer within the 3rd sector / public sector realm who wants to get more involved in the actual projects on the ground. Who wants to help build a supply chain. Talk to commissioners. Assess if a contract is even worth working on and how we can make it work.

You will be joining a large charity who deliver projects nationally around mental health, supported housing, employment and domestic violence. Their business development team has 2 functions. Bid writers who put together the proposals. And Partnership Managers who do the groundwork up until handover. As a Partnership Manager, around 50% of your time will focus on existing contracts being delivered which are approaching the re-tender period. And 50% on new business opportunities for the charity.

You will be doing the groundwork in the process prior to hand over point to the bid writers. A typical week could involve:

- Attending market engagement events with commissioners
- Meeting with potential supply chain partners
- Reviewing budgets for a re-tender for feasibility with the delivery teams for pre-tender planning
- Write part of the actual proposals
- Reviewing / assessing new opportunities

People with a Bid Writer, or Grants background within the public sector or charity sector would be a good fit for this role. The charity are Investors in People, and have an 80% CEO approval on glass door, with their most recent review stating: "Great work life balance, really fair employer, enhanced holiday and sick pay, laid back environment and managers that support you".

Please note, you can be based anywhere in the South of England (Below Birmingham, but not the South West). i.e. home counties, London, East of England, Surrey, Sussex and Kent, Berkshire (as far as Bristol / Suffolk).
