The role.
The Business Development & Marketing Coordinator will support the Trade & Commercial Manager in the delivery of the annual business development and customer retention plan.
Your remit will be to help deliver brand growth through the identification, recruitment and development of new licencee (all those in the food supply chain) opportunities within the food manufacturing and food service channels.
You will also assist in the overall execution of the annual trade plan where required.
Key to this role is developing strong relationships with existing licencees and identifying new prospects through structured communication strategies. A key part of the trade and commercial strategy is to build awareness and use of our Red Tractor quality logo through the licence base. The role will be required to develop good quality long term relationships that enable this.
What the role entails.
+ Build and manage effective relationships with existing customer base
+ Maintain up to date account plans, monitor and report performance against them
+ Identify licencee and stakeholder opportunities that drive digital content across single or joint media platforms, engage with internal comms team to create content and drive activity
+ Support the commercial manager to deliver creative collateral and assets for licensees by liaising with appropriate internal/external stakeholders
+ Grow exposure within 'Out of Home market' sector
+ Identify joint stakeholder opportunities to drive engagement with industry and consumers
+ Be proactive in telephone and desk-based research and relationship building activity identifying and developing opportunities to increase lead pipeline and prospect bank
+ Network across the business & its stakeholders to gain a good understanding of the work that we do and how it’s relevant to industry, government and consumers
+ Monitor & check incoming trade email enquiries and handle appropriately
+ Maintain and update internal reporting and admin functions effectively to support clear and concise communication on all elements of the commercial team’s activity
+ Support the Commercial Manager to write and maintain up to date account plans, monitoring and reporting performance against them
+ Prepare high quality licensee presentations
+ Provide a degree of general office/facility support to ensure core functions are working effectively
+ Supporting and attending external events as and when required
About you.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ An Enthusiastic team player
+ Good MS Powerpoint, Excel, Word
+ Organised great at admin and able to prioritise effectively
+ Good Time Manager
+ Business Development and / or general Marketing experience
+ Excellent phone manner
+ Full driving licence or willingness to travel as the role progresses
+ Foodservice / Wholesaler / Manufacturer experience would be advantageous
+ An interest in sustainable and safe food supply chains
