Are you looking for a fun, new and exciting role?

We are looking for an Employment Facilitator to work across the Bristol area on a full-time basis, working on our Supported Internships programme.

We have built on the success of our award-winning Supported Internship Study Programme and developed this into a national model: "Interns and Outcomes". This is a programme that offers people with a learning disability, aged 16 to 24 years old, the opportunity to get practical work-based learning experience which will provide a smooth transition from education to paid employment.

In this role, you will be part of the team delivering the programme, with referrals from colleges and schools in the local area. As a Facilitator you will have a caseload of people with a learning disability. You will support them to progress towards work through individual programmes designed around their needs. You will support them to increase their work skills to enable them maintain paid jobs. They will attend work placements, and you will provide in work support in the form of one to one job coaching, as well as out of work support with accessing the community, libraries, Job Centres, travel training, creating CV's, learning new skills, behaviour management, team work, improving their functional skills - English and Maths as well as helping them to access other support agencies. Some of which may be delivered in small groups. You will attend caseload meetings to ensure that the people you support are progressing towards their work goals, and share learning and experiences with the wider team.

You will need the ability to work on your own initiative. Good interpersonal, problem solving and communication skills as well as the ability to work effectively with clients, employers, and other professionals is essential. The ability to maintain accurate and up to date records using IT based systems is also required. Ideally, you will have some experience in supporting people, and liaising with other professionals is liaising with employers and other professionals involved in the person we support's life.

A full UK drivers licence and access to a car is essential.

Key skills and experiences:

* Knowledge of the benefit system is desirable but not essential

* Knowledge of Learning Disability is desirable.

* Knowledge of work related learning programmes is desirable

* Employer engagement would be advantageous but not essential

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential

* Willingness to travel

* Great team working skills are essential

* Must be flexible to changing working environments

* Willingness to undergo additional training as and when required
