Our client is currently seeking a Poultry Technician
The key responsibility of this position is to ensure that the premium breeding stock are well maintained, ensuring a good standard of high quality eggs for hatching purposes.
Tasks and Responsibilities
• Handling birds
• Processing hens
• Managing Male birds
• Inspecting produce to ascertain quality and fitness
• Keep accurate records as to the quality and fitness of produce
• Inspection of hens for evidence of production
• To ensure food is weighed accurately
• Basic housekeeping, including working with hazardous chemicals utilising proper PPE
• To strictly adhere to all biosecurity and animal welfare rules
This is a specialist technical role and you will receive full training.
Successful candidates should have a background in a similar role, or with other livestock and not own, or be in direct contact with other birds.
