Salary: £24,939.00 - £33,444 + excellent benefits

Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 37 hours, 52 weeks  (1.0 fte)

Location: South Devon Marine Academy, Kingswear

We are recruiting for a Lecturer to join our South Devon Marine Academy to undertake formal scheduled teaching duties as follows:- teaching, tutorials, and student assessment. We are looking for someone who has good subject knowledge, keen interest in/understanding of student centred learning and ability to develop effective working relationships with students and staff.  You will also need to be able to negotiate workloads and assess own skills/abilities, have good communication and inter-personal skills and be a creative thinker and problem solver.  You will also need to work on your own initiative and as part of a team, willingness to display flexibility in working hours and have a “can do” attitude.

The successful candidate will need to have a Level 3 or higher qualification, specific to Boatbuilding and wider marine woodworking/composites specialisms.  If not already held, to attain a teaching qualification within 3 years and have Marine industry experience.
