About us
Reed in Partnership provides public services that change people's lives for the better. We support the development of individuals, businesses, families and communities. Apply now and become part of our team.
The role
As a public service provider, our mission is to be the partner of choice for developing people and their communities. Our support is often delivered under challenging circumstances and we pride ourselves on our ability to break down barriers to change people's lives for the better.
We focus on changing lives by increasing employment opportunities, improving skills, providing youth services that enable personal and social development and supporting employers of all sizes and type.
We are specifically seeking IAG Advisers to deliver a programme of support for prisoners. The programme is aimed at increasing the employment rate, and/or progression into further education or training once the prisoners leave custody. This is a part time (20 hours a week) regional role, covering 5 prisons across London.
Key accountabilities
As an IAG Adviser you will be responsible for the registration and progression of prisoners to achieve sustained employment, training, continued education, course enrolment and completion or work experience outcomes. You will provide Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) in both an individual and group setting and will coach, mentor, support and signpost as required to achieve outcomes.
You will work towards strict targets, quality assurance standards in accordance with the programme, funding and internal requirements.
Skills & experience
We aim to ensure that no candidate or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, religion or belief, age, gender reassignment, marital or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity. We offer a guaranteed interview scheme for disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria.
