Ladieswear Designer

The commercial division of SF Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Ladieswear Designer

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Ladieswear Designer & Garment Technologist to join a well-established company supplying young ladies fashion product.

The Role:

- Designing multi product dresses, playsuits, jumpsuits and tops.
- Compiling comprehensive comments for factories, using size specifications, diagrams, and photographs to ensure full understanding of the amendments required.
- Creating garment specification sheets
- Processing samples
- Build a good relationship with factories/suppliers through sampling and development on a daily basis.
- Confident in advising ways to improve garment fit
- Managing the critical path to ensure deadlines are met
- Fitting, approving and sealing samples
- Full Knowledge of fashion woven product
- Good understanding of garment construction

Skills Required:

- Strong commercial awareness and be up to date with current trends, key shapes, colours etc.
- Understanding of and worked with Far East factories.
- Creative, young, trend setting, styling fashion background is needed.
- Confident in measuring garments to spec
- Commercial experience working in Ladieswear
- Must be fully computer literate in Microsoft Office and Adobe packages
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Experience across multi product area: dresses, playsuits, jumpsuits and tops.

Our working hours are Monday - Friday 37.5 hours per week
