Transport Planner / Engineer in Development Planning
Nottingham, City Centre Office
GBP25,000 to GBP32,500
A small, independent transport planning & infrastructure design consultancy has an opportunity available for a Transport Planner with consultancy experience to join their Nottingham based team.
The organisation is keen to speak with Transport Planners / Engineers, who have a good grounding in development planning and ready to start tackling greater levels of responsibility.
Candidate Specification:
* Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering or Geography;
* Strong report writing skills;
* Capable of delivering sections/complete transport assessments & statements;
* Experienced in travel planning, feasibility studies and masterplanning;
* Comfortable with data analysis & experience using Excel;
* Experience of working within development planning;
* Strong communication & presentation skills;
* Proficiency with junction modelling software.
If successful, you will receive training & support from a highly skilled team of engineering professionals, whilst having the opportunity to get involved in projects from an early stage.
The transport planning team is regularly tasked with:
* Transport assessments & statements;
* Travel Planning;
* Cycle & pedestrian infrastructure;
* Masterplanning;
* Traffic management & calming;
* Environmental impact assessments;
* Negotiating Section 106 & 278 agreements.
Along with having the opportunity to develop your skills within a highly supportive environment, you will also have room to progress within the team with time. There is a starting salary of up to GBP32,500 available, which comes with pay reviews and further company benefits.
