HR Manager - Media - 12 month Fixed Term Contract - 3 days per week (flexible) GBP55,000 PRO RATA
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 3 day a week HR Manager to be the owner of all HR related matters.
Working with this dynamic small/medium sized company with a strong brand and reputation within Media. ROLE:
The purpose of this role is to be the owner of all HR related matters. The role spans developing and excuting an HR strategy and to dealing with day-to-day tactical issues.
This is a high profile role for a self-motivated and proactive individual who enjoys being a genuine business partner and enjoys making a positive impact.
You will be approachable and a great listener, open minded and not at all judgmental, you embrace difference and diversity, and are enthusiastic with impressive communication and rapport building skills and with a strong generalist HR background.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall responsibility for managing all HR processes
* Review and adapt the current induction to ensure all employees receive a consistent welcome the role and company
* Work with the FD on various remuneration projects including annual salary review and bonus scheme payments, ensuring relevant benchmark data is considered/reviewed
* Assisting with the performance management and review process, providing guidance through the process and support to conduct review meetings in a constructive and consistent manner
* Develop and manage a company wide plan to attract, develop and retain our talent including bringing in leading Diversity and Inclusion practices
* Be the first point of contact for all Employee Relations issues, working to resolve informally where possible, but instigating process as required
* Work with third parties including employment lawyers, benefits providers and recruiters to provide advisory/complimentary services as needed
* Be a trusted partner, working to build sound working relationships with all the team across the business
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Strong HR Generalist (5 years +)
* Demonstrable experience of working in a similar environment
* Confidently able to influence at a Senior level
* CIPD qualified and have sound knowledge of employment law
* Experience of recruiting in Technical roles is advantageous
PERSONAL QUALITIES
* A self-starter and team player, adept at working collaboratively
* At home in a fast-paced environment, adaptable and flexible to change
* Excellent communication skills, able to build great relationships inside and outside of the company
* Ability to influence at all levels of the business
