THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are working with our nationwide client to recruit an experienced HR Advisor on an interim basis for 9 months to assist their busy national HR department in delivering a professional, effective HR plan and service across the North East region.

The role would suit an autonomous, experienced HR Advisor who is conveniently located in the North East region and able to travel around the region up to 90 minutes to other sites. The role involves lots of TUPE transfer in support for the sites in the region and ideal candidate will also be able to provide additional support to HR Shared Services, the wider HR team, finance, training, compliance, payroll and any other internal and external bodies.

THE JOB:

This interim job involves supporting the HRBP to provide a professional and effective HR strategy and advice to the business. Duties will include:

  • Providing HR support to Area Managers on complex, high risk HR matters across the region
  • Working closely with operational teams to develop line management capability for HR best practice and people management
  • Supporting the planning and implementation of contracts in line with TUPE legislation
  • Supporting and encouraging positive employee relations and engagement across the region, especially when dealing with trade unions
  • Monitoring and reviewing employee relations issues on a monthly basis, analysing trends
  • Supporting the business and the HRBP in organisational change, new business and restructuring activity
  • Developing, monitoring and reviewing HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance
  • Supporting the implementation of outcomes of pay reviews
  • Review HR dashboard data and agreeing actions to address improvement requirements
  • Supporting the delivery of workforce plan requirements to ensure compliance
  • Managing, developing and reviewing terms of employment for staff across the business
  • Supporting the implementation of learning and development plans
  • Attending Regional management meetings and cross business meetings when required

THE PERSON:

To be successful in your application you need to have relevant recent experience of working as a HR Advisor, educated to degree level or CIPD qualified or evidence of CPD HR equivalent, We're looking for someone who is accustomed to working in a challenging fast paced environment and has experience of TUPE. You must also have strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills to manage your own time and priorities. We're looking for someone who has had autonomy in their role to deal with complex HR cases and is used to working in this way.
