Forde Recruitment is currently recruiting for a client within the manufacturing industry in the S35 area of Sheffield for a Horizontal Borer to work within their Machine shop. The successful candidate must have Manual or CNC Horizontal boring experience - both are desirable. This position includes both day and night shifts.

Necessary experience required in:

• 3 x Kearns and Richards horizontal borers with table size of 1500mm x 1500mm with digital read outs
• Giddings and Lewis CNC borer with table size of 3000mm x 2000mm with Heidenhain control system
• Individual must be able to set up and machine various sizes, including fabrications and castings.
• Attention to detail, ensuring all deadlines are met
• Role will include producing products for oil and gas, nuclear, renewables and subsea. - previous experience of this is desirable
• High level of communication skills
• Expected to work as an individual and a part of a team
• Highly experienced in working to drawings and instructions

Hours of work

• Days: Monday-Thursday 7am-3.30pm and Friday 7am-1pm
• Nights: Monday-Thursday 4.30pm-2.30am
